To make world-class protection accessible to everyone, we are upgrading our legacy Advanced Security package into a brand-new, streamlined security product called Domain Safe.

We’ve split this into two simple tiers: Domain Safe, which gives you essential, automatic protection for free, and Domain Safe, which adds powerful advanced tools for power users and developers.

Domain Safe

Every eligible domain registered or renewed at name.com now comes with Domain Safe automatically*. You don't have to pay a thing or check any extra boxes at checkout; your baseline security is completely covered.

• WHOIS Privacy Protection: Keeps your personal name, physical address, phone number, and email completely hidden from public databases. This instantly blocks annoying telemarketers, spammers, and identity thieves from scraping your info.
• Domain Lock Plus: Puts a shield around your domain to prevent unauthorized transfers or changes. To keep things extra secure, this feature pairs with your account's Two-Step Verification (2FA), meaning nobody can move or make changes to your domain without your explicit permission.
• Free SSL Certificate: Powered by our UbiquiTLS™ Free TLS Certificate DV initiative, this automatically secures your website with essential encryption. It gives your visitors that trusted padlock icon in their browser bar!

Domain Safe Pro

For business owners, developers, and users who want an additional line of defense, Domain Safe adds heavy-duty, professional features.

• Domain Monitoring: Our system watches your website's domain records around the clock. If an unexpected change occurs to your nameservers or DNS records settings, we will alert you via email immediately so you can take action.
• Dynamic DNS (DDNS): If you host a server, smart-home tech, or a development site from home, your internet provider likely changes your IP address every few days. Dynamic DNS automatically keeps your domain perfectly synced with your changing home IP address so your connection never drops.
• HTTPS URL Forwarding: Traditional forwarding only works for unencrypted (HTTP) links. The Pro tier gives you secure HTTPS redirects, meaning anyone forwarded through your links will see a secure padlock icon instead of an intimidating browser warning.
